The history of the place and the people

For generations the Delaunay family has been producing wines in the town of Loroux-Bottereau. Our vineyard is located near the Loire and Nantes in the Muscadet Sèvre & Maine Appellation with a heritage of an exceptional terroir and a unique grape variety in the world: Melon Blanc (or Melon de Bourgogne). The vineyard's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean offers saline wines known for their freshness and minerality.

The winegrower's philosophy

The family estate has been working on its land for decades and knows the plots and their environment perfectly. Since 2020 we have converted some plots to organic farming. Our approach to the vineyard and the cellar allows us to be as close as possible to our terroir. Respect for nature and the consumer are our priorities, the desire to maintain quality wine every year runs in our veins. To do this, we always look for high-quality raw materials and carry out less interventionist vinification: it is this know-how that makes our work and our wines an exception in the Nantes vineyards.
